Martha’s Vineyard Book Festival

  • 520 South Road Chilmark, MA, 02535 United States (map)

We are gearing up for the Martha's Vineyard Book Festival this summer which will be held on August 1-3.  We would be delighted to include you in the book festival this summer to discuss The Family Dynamic. It is such an interesting book and it is an issue that we want to highlight this summer.  We would be honored to have you in the festival.

Among some of the authors confirmed for this summer are Geraldine Brooks, Jonathan Capehart, Chris Hayes,  Wally Lamb, Andrew Lawler, Eric Kim, Evan Osnos, Tyler Pager, Adam Ross, Danzy Senna, Curtis Sittenfeld, and Kara Swisher.

The Book Festival begins on Friday night, August 1 with our opening event, and runs on Saturday and Sunday, August 2 and 3. On Saturday, each author participates in one topical panel discussion.  These panels run for about an hour and are followed by a book signing.  On Sunday, each author also has an individual session. Each individual author talk runs for about 50 minutes, in an interview format, and is followed by a book signing.  Our venue on Martha's Vineyard is in the rural area of the island, in the town of Chilmark, in tents.  Saturday and Sunday are free with sponsorships covering our costs, and the festival has been very successful.

The festival works with Bunch of Grapes on book sales and the Vineyard Gazette is our sponsor.  The book festival has a large and devoted following thanks to years of bringing in some of the country's leading authors, a focus on great literature, on important issues of the day, and many years of running this program with a history of excellence.

We will cover transportation to/from the island from the NY area. For housing, we will provide housing on the island for 2 nights, generally in separate wing or cottages of private homes.   We would be so happy to have you in the Martha's Vineyard Book Festival and welcome you to the island.   We hope this will work.  Please let us know.
